Re: HID Question

I have ALWAYS had issues with intermittent igniting with aftermarket HID kits on multiple vehicles. Installed a kit on my Jeep running the fogs. Had intermittent issues so I purchased a kit from XenonDepot with relays. I never was able to get it to work on the Jeep - sent the kit back to XD for them to test it and they said all was fine with it. Reinstalled it in place of my older kit and it still wouldnt work (at all), with or without relays. Was way past warranty period, so returning it was not an option. Did test it in place of the kit in my Yamaha Rhino and it worked, but again it was intermittent. Old kit is still in Jeep, using relays - driver's side relay blew recently so I bypassed it. Now passenger side is intermittent.

I correct the issue the same way as the OP - I just automatically flip fogs on-off-on everytime when I get in the Jeep.

Re: HID Question

I think for some reason the driver side isn't giving enough power at initial turn on to flip the relay. I wonder if I swap it for a relay that manages both sides and how one relay if it would work. Because the passenger one always comes on. No problem with fogs relays or hid ballasts.

Re: HID Question

I had to flip it on and off 5 times before the relay clicked on. I'm going to redo the grounds first and swap it with the fog relay to see if that makes a difference.

Re: HID Question

Haven't touched the lights yet, they have been working fine all day today. With the auto on setting. I also received some goodies in the mail today. Aux fuse box to clean up the wiring, and hella thing offroad lights which will go behind the grille. Brackets were fabricated last weekend
