Re: How do I Remove the Wiper Cowls from my 06 WK

one hint....mark the threads so you get the wipres back on in the same location. use a grease marker or something to mark the wiper and threads.

Re: How do I Remove the Wiper Cowls from my 06 WK

if you going to paint them might want to stay away from the last 1/2 inch or so that sits on the window. mine were fully painted and cleared and a few small areas flaked. just a little so not a disaster but in hindsight I should have avoided that edge/

what NUT is the problem Davy. the one holding the wiper?

the wipers are a bit jammed on so if you put the wiper in the air you can move it a bit side to side if it seems stuck/

Re: How do I Remove the Wiper Cowls from my 06 WK

THANK YOU ROB! shit, i must have spent an hour thinking of ways to pull that sucker out. Pretty much finished 1/2 of the cowls and it looks much better. Did it with some PX8 paint from automotivetouchup and cleared it. I dont know but PX8 is VERY glossy compared to PXR. i was hoping for a deeper black but overall im happy. Will get pics up once i find my USB cable

Planning on doing this soon, what do I need to do to prep the surface?

I'm going to be doing mine in the next couple of weeks! I'm gonna take Robs advice and tape off the small piece that has flaked.
