I need some parking light wireing info for 2005 JGC

I need to get some wiring info for the parking light on the 2005 Jeep grand Cherokee. I need to know if it is + - or mux. on these cars. Im installing one of the remote starts that you will use your own remote and directions say install white/brown wire if vehicle is equipped with parking light mux.

It might also just be + and location in the driver side kick panel white/purple.

this is listed on the chart/directions so I need to know is it mux or just a wire in the kick panel.

I uploaded a picture of part of the directions and the area I need the info for.

What is mux?

Ok the positive wires for the parking lights rest at ground so my diagram guide does not recommend using them. The negative side is mux. But there is a much easier way on GC's. I have owned an 05 and an 06 and did this on both. Run a wire out to the TIPM on the drivers fender under the hood. Locate the parking light relay and negatively trigger the #1 pin. Just solder a wire onto the pin. I will see if I can find the picture that I took. It is super simple and works just fine.

I would prefer to not add additional input to a mux line as I can.

If you could find a picture of what you described that would be great.

thanks

The diagram if you see has 2 options one is mux or a relay to a white purple wire in the driver kick plate.

I did locate the white purple wire and checked for voltage. Only time voltage is on this wire is when the parking lights are on with the light selector on the steering column.

Here is another wire diagram that is showing what type the 2005 jeep has and telling you to do the relay with 12volts. On the module there is one wire that goes low/ground when the remote start is activated.

So what would you do, the relay with 12v to the white purple wire I located or to the ground on the relay as you mentioned for the parking lights.

Its just not telling me what method to use but says if parking lights are - to do it the - way.
