Re: Interior/Exterior rivets, clips and push pins

How about the push-pins on the liftgate interior trim? I want to put a fresh set on. Does the dealer charge $5 for these too?!? I'd like to find them locally so I don't have to wait on shipping but I went to Salvo and Pep Boys, neither had anything that would work.

You may want to add this one too:
http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Pro...20890&CartID=1

It's used where the bumper cover slides up onto the front underside edge of the fender. Farther back a regular screw is used. This is sort of a 'slider' for the bumper cover.

Re: Interior/Exterior rivets, clips and push pins

did not want to start an new thread and I believe it belongs here. I need to find the 4 clips that hold the rear license plate on. My back up camera is a L/P frame with camera built in on the top. the camera went out and needed replaced, audio shop did it for Free, but the bolts had to be drilled off, thus ruining the plastic clips that screws go into. I can't finD a pic, but these clips pop into the tailgate and they had to use washers to get the plate to stay on.
Does anyone know what these are called and where to get them other than the dealer?

How about the clips that hold the kick-guard interior trim pieces? IDK the exact term but they are at the base of the door frame and are secured with 4-6 of these metal/plastic clips...here is a pic from Matt's stereo install so you know where I am talking about

are they metal and slide onto the studs of the kick plate?

Re: Interior/Exterior rivets, clips and push pins

Those blind rivets for the inner fender wells are a bit too long. I used a few to fix some snow damage and after installing the rivet, there is about an 1/8" tab that sticks out. I'm thinking the 5/32"-13/32" grip range is a bit too much. Maybe the 3/64"-3/16" would work better? I may order some and give them a shot. Anyone else experience the same issues?

the ones that you take in and out by hand??? by pulling up the center pin

or the ones you use the rivet gun for?

i never bought the first ones but I have bought the CORRECT plastic rivets for the rivet gun for my inner fender wells and they worked perfectly.

are you choosing the correct ones?? there are many part numbers

Re: Interior/Exterior rivets, clips and push pins

I got different ones and they were a fraction of the cost. From Clips and fasteners.com part number 19794. They're a little smaller but work fine. They're 25 for $9.74.
