Does the Canbus light you can purchase from the seller match the others? Also, do they all match correctly in the listing I believe he said they all for the most part are the same, sketchy description IMO. Let me know, thanks.

Re: Interior LED Review

They all match good. The canbus led is a lot brighter then the others so you MIght want to use that in your cargo area.

A canbus led is an LED with a resisitor. Some jeeps need to use this to correctly have all the lights turn off completely in theor jeep with the key on. I did not need it all of them turned off correctly, but figured i might as well upgrade. The seller is coming out with a new interior kit complete with cabs, glovebox, and vanity lights. Will have pics of the vanity lights in LED later in the week for everyone to see . I havent seen any other jeeps with the vanity lights done in led.

Re: Interior LED Review

I bought a higher quality kit (5050 SMD) and I get the faint glow on the 2 map lights when I change them all out. I have had it for over a month now. I just got tired of the surge and kept a factory bulb in the driver side floor.

This is included in the link you provided.
"Sometimes LEDs give off a slight glow when not in use. This is normal since LEDs are so efficient that they light with the smallest power supply that is always going through your sockets. You just never see it due to regular bulbs needing much more power to light. This is perfectly normal and harmless. I find the very faint glow very nice. This will happen with any type of LED no matter the type or brand."

I have this problem and it bothered me.
I imagine if I got 2 Canbus map lights it would be no issue.

Re: Interior LED Review

All you need is one canbus because they are part of the same circuit.

That makes no sense in this case though as I have placed a canbus led in the floor light and it still glows and surges intermittently. But when I place a factory bulb in the floor light it is okay. I have 3 canbus LED's that came with this kit, but none are the map light. I would assume if the floor light is impacting the surge on the map light it would make no difference if it had a canbus in the map or the floor light.

Yeah maybe the problem is your canbus "bulbs" are not supplying the right resistance (shot in the dark). Perhaps the resistor on the led is not sufficient. I know for a fact that one canbus is all you need.

A canbus is basically tricking the car into thinking it has stock bulbs. So the result you get with the regular bulb "should" be identical to the canbus.

How does this make no sense? All those lights are on the same exact crcuit thats why all of them turn on at the same time. maybe your canbus lights are not working correctly. I have one canbus in passenger side and everything works perfectly correct.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there are 2 different circuits, and its not something simple like the front lights, and the back lights. Its something weird like the front map lights, glove box, and cargo light are all on one, then the rest on another. Move your canbus to the cargo bulb on the rear liftgate and it should eliminate the glow. It did on mine.
