Yeah the lights are polarity sensitive. They will only work one way.

Re: Interior LED Review

Well I got the five led ones to work I put them in the rear seat area I flipped them got to work I still could not get the round two dot work. At all. Is the rear metal piece need to come out too? Now the rear tailgate door one I took the lense off and now the bulb holder is pushed back into the rear door cover. It was getting dark will work on the front overhead lights do you have to move all the metal pieces in the overhead. I always have problems with the easy mods

Re: Interior LED Review

It was suggested that the reflectors in the overhead be left out, and I did.

Chris

That happened to me with the rear light. I gently played with it until i was able to pull it back out. Then i popped the bulb in, but it took a few tries until i got it to make full contact. I did not have to remove my metal pieces in the over head at all. just had to remove them install the map light leds and then put them back in.

thanks! I was just doing the install now and wondered if the reflectors in the front map lights should be reinstalled, seems that the reflectors would actually really limit the new LED bulbs so I will leave the reflectors out too.

in my case, only 2 of the 3 round two dot bulbs work. The third round two dot bulb didn't work even when hooked directly to a 2 amp 12v source and one of the leads on the bulb seems flimsy, like it is broken inside. Guess I need a new bulb. For now I'm not going to the replace the bulb in the rear hatch, I will look for a canbus bulb and replace it later.

Anyway, I also had trouble with a drivers side footwell bulb, I had to slightly bend the leads to the left and right and then it made good contact with the socket power.

I had a 2 amp 12v source to test the bulbs, maybe you should do the same to be sure you don't have a defective bulb like me.

Re: Interior LED Review

I think this problem with the leads not making contact 100 percent will happen to any aftermarket bulb. Im sorry to hear about 1 of your bulbs not working. Its a good idea to put the canbus in the cargo area because it is quite a bit brigther then the other leds.

Re: Interior LED Review

I'm surprised at how much better LEDs are over stock bulbs. For the price, one of the best mods I've done since the color and brightness of the stock bulbs have always been a pet peeve of mine since I bought the WK.
In looking at the results, I should've done this mod long ago.
