Need advice regarding Overland Mirror replacement

Hi guys,

so when i bought my jeep a few months ago (an 06' Overland in silver), the passenger side mirror was broken (both the housing and the actual mirror). i didn't mind it too much at the time and i did get the dealer to knock a few dollars off the price. however, now the housing is really getting worse and it is making terrible noise at speeds so i want to get it fixed. i have been trying to get a replacement mirror used from ebay and save some money but because it is an overland, it will be almost impossible since it needs to be the one with platinum on top and black on bottom and have pwr/heat and fold.

i believe that the part number for the one i need is 1BU161XFAA but it is very expensive at around $300.

what are my options here? i could just buy a new OEM one and deal with the price or i could lose the power folding and the Overland look and try to find a matching set of black ones from a regular WK.

what would you recommend?

Re: Need advice regarding Overland Mirror replacement

I'm actually looking for a driver's side mirror for a '06 Overland with platinum on top and black on the bottom.

Anyway, try car-part.com they have a good selection of used parts. I was going to go there, but just haven't bothered yet.
