Re: Painted Moldings with a touch of....

speaking of painted moldings, spotted this SRT--

looks to be quite modded-maybe a member on the red site. I believe this was the same SRT i saw a while back with red wheels decals.

The more I come back to look at these the more I want to get some color matched to my body and painted letters in black.

Re: Painted Moldings with a touch of....

Not to jack this thread but I noticed one of my moldings have popped out from the center. Do I need to get in from the interior to remove/install these? I kind of figured they would use 3M as well?

not exactly sure.. but since they are coming off on their own.... just take em off and paint em! then reattach with the 3M

Re: Painted Moldings with a touch of....

I was just inside my doors to change the moulding, and I do believe it's worth the extra 20 minutes per door for R&R. There's less breakage, but there will be a couple that you can't get to from the inside anyway. I used a curved needle nose with cardboard against the doors for the ones I couldn't get to from the inside.

Re: Painted Moldings with a touch of....

thank you sir!

mine were done by "Scott's Paint and Performance"

If you are going for the flat black look, take a look into plastidip. It's ez to use and if you dont like it you can always peel it off.

Re: Painted Moldings with a touch of....

you dont "have" to take off the door panels but that's the safest way to do it. You can easily use a flathead and pry off carefully. I broke 1 or 2 clips but easily fixed with 3m tape
