Re: Plasti Dip on Dark Red

rims are a must... a lot of guys like to debadge their emblems but i say paint 'em black... plasti dip works great for both applications and there are a TON of "how to" for both... have fun! This will be one of the ONLY mods where you spend very little money lol

Re: Plasti Dip on Dark Red

I've used plastidip on my car and the key is to get a light coat to dry set up a base for your follow up coats. Spray about a foot or more off the target and make sure you spray evenly side to side. Also try and overspray about 3-4 inches off either side to further ensure equal coverage. The key is several lightish coats so you don't get drips. With plastidip you also need to be careful when removing the masking tape or whatever you used to prevent the paint from hitting other areas. The finish coats tend to stick together so a light scoring helps to prevent peeling.
