Thanks Nick...

The 20.00 criteria means that the TCM tunes are a little beyond this threads budget. But you are looking for improved trans function, and willing to spend 30-40$ on the LP Booster, especially if you already own a Diablo handheld, why not save a little extra (20-40$ depending on year) and get a full-blown trans tune? We adjust SO much more than just line pressure (which we raise SUBSTANTIALLY more than the booster ever could), we adjust shift schedule, WOT shift points, Torque Management etc etc etc. There is about 40 or so different parameters that we modify. I know this sounds like a sales pitch but its really a much better mod for not much more money.

I suppose if you really wanted to run the LP booster, you can, but I'm not a fan of acheiving desired results (in this case, increased line pressure) by tricking the PCM. The booster is a resistor with OEM quality pigtails for an easy connection. No more. We can drop the pressure setting in CMR to accomodate the booster, or if you really wanted, you can run the booster to go all out but there is no telling how long the 545RFEs trans pump will last long term running that much pressure all the time. To me, it is better to modify the PCM coding to achieve firmer shifts than by fooling the PCM.

Jeepgcoman, not sure if you are looking for just a TCM or PCM/TCM tune but we can tune for your cam WITHOUT a wideband. The PCM has a FA PID that logs AFR and its pretty accurate. No AFR needed nor datalogs for a TCM tune either.

For the record, I do not recommend it, but if people wish, they can do so at their own peril.

There is a plug on the pass side of the trans, close to the 2nd cats, you unplug that and plug the booster inline. maybe 20 min from up ramps to off ramps, depending on how easily your clip locks come free.

Maybe if you had forced induction you could give it a try, as you'd probably lunch the 545RFE in time anyway. I don't think they're designed to handle as much horsepower as the NAG1's. They're suppose to be good for up to ~600 hp.
We up the pressure significantly, much more than the Sonnax.

The 545RFE's biggest issue is the programming of it. Even with tuning, with enough power you will fry the clutches anyways, but that can be remedied through a performance rebuild.

Re: Poor man's WK mod thread

So Ryan are you only building a tune that can be loaded on to the diablo tuners?

Correct. Diablo is considering adding Jeep/Dodge 3.7/4.7 support...Dodge 4.7 support is already out. Please register on Diablosport's forum and post in this thread below. With all the support I offer to 3.7/4.7s in porting, you better believe that if they make this happen, I will be offering 3.7/4.7 tunes as well.

Re: Poor man's WK mod thread

Homemade catch can.

This is from another forum I frequent, but it still applies here. People been using these for a years with no ill effects i know of. I have not done this yet, but am considering it.

Again I take no credit for this mod.

Re: Poor man's WK mod thread

Painted headlight bezels. It takes some work to get the lenses off but once you do, you just need sand paper, spray paint, and something to reseal the headlights (I used butyl rubber).

Plasti-Dipped Emblems.

Jdubya, I personally thing that the OEM HID lights look better chrome, but with the amber blacked out. And why did you cover the ENTIRE rear of the car for the plasti dip!? Lol it just peals off if you get it where you dont want it!

Nah black WITH amber is where it's at!

Thick layers of PD peel up easily but a light misting in random areas would be a PITA.
