Maybe with the tight mesh that JDubya used, I could see that. But I haven't had any issues with mine.

Re: Poor man's WK mod thread

Keeping it clean wasn't an issue. The only problem I had was with the paint, it chipped easily from rocks/bugs/whatever. With the smaller mesh, I couldn't sand or prep it properly so I just primed and painted. It was easy to touch up though

X2...I have painted mine twice, takes about 10 mins to take the mesh off and re-spray, then you are back to new!

I don't have a pic anymore, but there is a slight gap between the headlight and the bumper, and I had put an LED strip in between there, it looked pretty decent, you can get 2 waterproof LED strips from ebay for less than $20

If you still keep your engine cover on, paint it to suit your preferences. I've seen some real creative, high tech. ones over in the LX community. Mine, below, (WK and LX) are kind of simple.....like me.

WK, I don't think I have enough room between the light and bumper on the Mazda haha but I might put a scanner in my hood scoop.

Very nice looking. I'm thinking of getting a LX one as think they are longer and want to hide as much as possible under it. I wont have the large cowl part jutting forward when it gets installed in my Willys.

Re: Poor man's WK mod thread

Interesting! I haven't tried swapping them, but from the looks of the two, I don't think the LX one will fit on the WK. Give me a little time this morning and I'll go out and give it a try.
