This was a great thread on my old car forum. The basic premise is for this to be a one stop thread for cheap mods. $20 and under mods only. Basically im a cheap bastard and I know others are too.

(if this is a repeat thread, then forgive me i searched first)

I can start her off:

Made my own shorty antenna. Use two pliers to pry off the ball on the top of the stock antenna. Cut to desired length, and reattach ball with epoxy. I also painted mine black. Best part about this one is it was free (I had the epoxy and paint sitting in my garage, but even if you don't they are still cheap)

Next:
I also bought a shorty antenna online, it was only $15. The reason I made mine though is the reception is spotty where I live (its mountainy here, I need a longer one [thats what she said]) Heres a pic of the one i bought.

Lastly:
Plastidipped my wheels. Self explanatory and you can see a pic in my signature. Cost ~$20 for all four wheels.

I think this shifter cost $15 at Oriellys. I rigged it to fit my WK. It matches interior medium slate grey and SRT pedal perfectly.

The WK has a built in card holder on the steering wheel.

Paint your struts. I shouldn't have painted mine yellow. I'm redoing it soon.

---Sipe your tires. Especially good for winter driving in areas with snow/rain/ice. Cost about $40-50. http://sipers.com/

---For pre-08 Hemi owners, do the MDS "On" light mod. I came up with for the LX's back in 05. The wiring is the same on our Hemi WK's. Cost, about than $20. http://www.lxforums.com/board/f88/installation-mds-indicator-light-11575/#post55813

---Debadge your ride makes it easier to clean/wax, and looks a lot better too, IMO. I've even had people ask what kind of vehicle it is. Cost, nothing.

---Get a Fumoto engine oil drain valve to make your oil changes quick, easy, and mess free. I've got them on all my vehicles. Cost, less than $30. http://www.quickoildrainvalve.com/

---If you have a WK with the 545RFE transmission (4.7 or 5.7 engines only), help your transmission out and get better shift quality with a Sonnax Line Pressure Booster. Cost, about $40. http://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/45RFE_545RFE_Electric_Line_Pressure_Boost_p/400-044957lb2.htm

yeah exactly i was thinkin of adding it above the handle in the hole it sits in in the door so it shines behind it, i hate when im droppin someone off and they sit there like feeling up the door for five minutes cause they cant find it

i cant figure out what to wire it too though cause i want it to be on either when i turn on the headlights or just all the time

lol x2 on the door handle problem. had people sit in my jeep numerous times and still dont remember where it is lol WTF! NOOBS.
as for the wiring, mine is tapped into a power source underneath the steering wheel. It goes on whenever the interior lights are on. You can also tapped into wires behind the glovebox for the passenger sides. that's only on if you unlock tho, so im not sure which wires if you want them on always.

Guys to wire those lights, the window switch only lights up when your parking lights are on, so just tap into that, so whenever your lights are ok (aka when its dark) the door handles will be lit
