same here, no slam but you do need it to sit it and then push it once more to shut it. I wouldnt slam it though

I only tried it whee I for got it a couple of times I just let it go after the breaking point where the shocks compress. I'm glad to know mine if fine

When my '06 WK was new, the lift glass would open on its own after the "pop." But that didn't last long.

Well...here we are at 2014 and I'm finally about to replace the struts. I hope it comes back to me....

Talking about sliding the unit down that rod. All Wks do it. Get in your jeep pull it off the latch and slide it to the passenger side. I read it on the forum and went out at 2 am to try it out lol.
