Prices

How much have you guys paid to get your entire Jeep tinted? (Front, back, and rear) not including the windshield? I want to get all of mine darker. Is it around 200?

Re: Prices

Aren't the rear doors and back glass factory dark tint? If they were darker you wouldn't be able to see out very well.

Fwiw, my front door tint cost about $100.

They are about 18% from Factory tinted glass. I want them to be a little darker so you cant see through. So I was going to put another 15% or 20% on top of it to make it about 10%. It will probaly be hard to see when backing up at night. But I still haven't decided if Im doing it yet I gotta figure out the price. My front ones are only at 30% but I want to go darker and I just got them done in May.

Re: Prices

Depends on the brand of tint 200 for the whole jeep might be a little cheap. It's better to pay for quality

Re: Prices

Locally it costs $250-$300 for quality tinting from a reputable shop with a LLT warranty.

That being said, it cost me $70 for matching the 18.5% of the rears on the fronts.

If you put 20% over 18% film you get 20% of the 18% roughly.

Youd have give or take 4% VLT.

I'm glad you said that, I was too lazy to explain it.

Re: Prices

I just paid $259 3M tint, lifetime warranty. Put 5% ontop of everything. Front doors had nothing to begin with.

Is it really hard to see out of the back at night and when backing up?
And when the sun is shinning on it during the day can you still see in the car and out the other window or is it completely black?

If he put 5% on top of the ~18.5% that was on there before, you get a multiplying effect, only allowing 5% of 18.5%. So basically his rear window is now rendered useless for utility purposes. Hopefully he can still see some color through the rest of his windows for when the 5-0 comes and tickets him for illegal tint on the rest of his windows...

Re: Prices

not sure on the entire jeep tint, but around these parts, the front 2 windows tinted from a professional place usually will run you $80. So multiply that by 2 for the back 2.. then your rear winshield .. i would say $250 sounds about right. probably $300-$350 for the entire including front windshield.

Re: Prices

I've had multiple vehicles with dark tint like this. It's legal in the state of Colorado to have tint as dark as you want as long as the 2 front windows are clear. I also have the reverse camera & park sensors. During the day I can see out but you can't see in. If I feel a cop has nothing better to do I'll just roll the 2 fronts down.
