Re: Project Ground Pounder SRT Wide-Body Clone

Finally, the Aluminum Mesh grill reached from Italy !!

Sprayed it with 5 thin layers of primer, then let it dry for 2 days .. Afterwards , 15 thin layers of Flat Black , and another 2 days to dry... Got some Stainless steel washers and nuts to hook the grill up with... Afterwards, i used the solder gun to heat sink the mesh into the plastic grill for a permanent perfect settling

I found out that there is NO way to PERFECTLY install a mesh in the lower bumper grill, so i kept the OEM srt grill in there... Maybe one day i will get the OEM srt upper grill also..

and Again... Grill, headlights, bumper.. etc.. are JUST HANGING ON just for some pics... not installed yet.. Thats why the parts do NOT perfectly fit and flow with eachother....

Re: Project Ground Pounder SRT Wide-Body Clone

Dang brother that is looking real nice ... I like that mesh grill it's more tightly packed and give's a very nice look to it

15 coats of paint and 2 days to wait

What more do you have left until the ground pounder is ready to roll through the streets of Lebanon ?

Thank you bro! i am happy you like! b.t.w , When are you planning to install those sweet flares of yours? we all know that you are planning for something awesome

I did not work on the front end yet, the bumper is just hangin' on just to take pics... ( notice that it doesnt line up well with the fenders, bcz its not bolted on )

It is bcz i have an issue with my front bwoody springs, I have to change the front right spring bcz its defect, so then the car can settle nicely on the 4 corners... Afterwards, i will install the following:
- The srt brake ducts , srt front fascia, front wheels, wheel wells, grill, and headlights Properly

Hey Bro!

Yes, i like to take my time to do stuff lol I have some patience when it comes to cars !! I like the mesh also, its nice bcz the holes are small IMO..

The jeep will roll soon hopefully, but the thing is i need some spare time to work at it I still have the srt8 roof racks, side door moldings , and side rockers to paint soon... then the project will be due..

Next year, i will strip the whole interior, so that i can install the ground Pounder sound system ( all parts are on hand, but need some time to work on my corvette '' planning for a widebody L5 fenders and some 345's on her ) + i will do custom upholstry for the jeep ...
