Yeah Ron. I'm in. I always wanted to open a car customizing shop but I just don't have experience doing tint, audio, or anything.

when you turn your lows and fogs on, you will see if they flicker or if they do not turn on. if that happens to you then you will need a relay for the fogs.

a relay for the lows is a necessity on all years as far as i know.

i know people have been running hids for years and have had no issues as long as their grounds are good. i have not heard of any damage to electric wiring from hids.

Thanks for the info !

i have an '05, and i will install a relay harness for the fogs also just to be on the safe side. i will also do a research if the HID without a harness will do trouble, i'll enlighten you with the results

What worried me, that if you do not install the harness, the grounds would be from the car's OEM electrical system... and the HID is different from Halogen lamos, bcz they Neeed bigger grounds....

For all my fellow Jeep Garage Members : those are my official research results for the HID wire harness: ( plz keep in mind )

Say you install the HID ballast directly to where the low beam halogen bulb is connected. Some vehicles might be are able to power up HID system normally without problems at install, but over time it will not last. Startup current for HID Lights is 13 amps per ballast, compared to 7 amps for halogen.
Your factory wiring system is designed for a halogen based headlight which draws 7 amps of current at startup and 4.5 amps continuous load. Over time, connectors, multifunction switch, headlight switch, wiring and fuse holders will slowly degrade because of heat buildup. These components are very expensive to replace. This type of damage could have been avoided with a relay wire harness. With the relay harness power is drawn directly from your battery protecting your factory wiring and expensive ballast."
