Re: Rear SRT bumper

Yes. That model has the holes and fits all Grand Cherokee years ('05 -'10). Just For Jeeps website is very vague. I found this info by searching the part number on Amazon.com and clicking on Vehicle Application.

Genuine Chrysler Parts 5159095AA Rear Bumper Impact Strip : Amazon.com : Automotive

Re: Rear SRT bumper

There's a PDF of the installation instructions on the link I sent you earlier. Looks easy enough. Doesn't look like you have to have the disable button on the center console for it to work. Also, confirm with the dealer that it doesn't need to be activated with the Starscan Tool. With parts you're at about $500 (if you do the install) Ouch! Good luck with the mod. Now's the time to do it along with the SRT rear bumper.

What is this custom exhaust mod you speak of???

Re: Rear SRT bumper

yea i figured id do it, if i were installing the rear bumper, but il have to think of it twice!!!
and the custom exhaust has been all made from scratch 3" tubing! bent to fit through the old exhaust then out the middle, i just have to delete the spare tire for my fitings to work (Thrush Welded exhaust). basically a new line from the muffler out! (where it was all rusty befre) and the tips are split at the rear just for the look! all this for abour 200$

500$ for the parksense intall? dont all i need is the parkesne and thats it?! wiring etc? plus the 4 little sensors?

Re: Rear SRT bumper

I was adding shipping to the Mopar Kit ($300) and the chrome rear strip ($150) with holes which you need anyway since you're converting your bumper.

Sounds like a fun project.

Re: Rear SRT bumper

Re: Rear SRT bumper

The new SRT absorber will fit directly into the new bumper. I attached mine to the bumper first and then put the bumper on. You will need one screw to hold each fog light in. One side of the fog light has tab retainers that slide into two rectangular loops on the bumper and the other side has a hole for the screw to pass through and into the bumper. Don't overtighten this screw or you'll strip the plastic piece on the bumper. The fog lights do not come with these screws. You only need two. I bought a package of #10 x 3/4" stainless steel sheet metal screws from Home Depot that worked great. The three bumper clips will slide into a slot in the rear chrome strip after you have pushed all the tabs into the bumper. It acts like a little wedge to hold the bumper strip tight against the bumper from the outside. Without them, the strip would end up pulling away from the bumper and there would be an unsightly gap. You can reuse your existing step pad. It will snap into all the holes (14) along the top of the SRT bumper and then there are simply four push pins that go in the top holes to keep it secured.

It looks like the same part except that it is black...not chrome. Must be "paint-ready".
