Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

What info are you looking for? It connects directly to the lockpick so no splicing was necessary. Turn on automatically in reverse or any other time i want it on by double pressing the uconnect button on my nav. Better resolution than the stock cam plus infrared for night vision. It also has distance markers on it so you know how far you have behind you

Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

On mine since i have an alpine deck i spliced into the reverse light so the head unit would automatically turn on when in reverse to the camera window. It also has backup markers. Besides the cameras power wire there is also a standard yellow coax video cable that i ran up to my head unit.

Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

i agree. i bought the lockpick cam for the rear ($100!!!!) and a cheap cam($20) from China for the front and it works soo much better. Im no cam pro but i think a CCD > CMOS from threads i read.

Matt- that doublepress of the Uconnect to activate it, how do you set it to that on the Lockpic?

Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

under the handle of the liftgate. You most likely will have to drill a hole to feed the wire and secure the cam.

Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

On mine it has a small mount that sits behind the license plate. No drilling required. and the wire i have running up through a small hole thats on the bottom of the lift-gate anyway.

Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

The distance markers are part of the head unit not the camera. Mine does not have night vision but is good in dimly light areas. I got it from bestbuy. It's an audiovox backup cam
