Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

My distance markers are not in the camera. The head unit has a button called guide. i can click that and it takes the distance markers off or on. How can a camera which just captures video have distance markers? Mine doesent anyway. Maybe yours is different. To test mine i plugged it directly into a tv and it was just video.

Ronsse610 yea that's why I posted the link, looks like only 05-08 can be programmed for the Tilt. But if you are friendly with your dealer they could try to input it as shown and maybe it would work but I would think the WK site would know that.

i have a button on my camera to turn the distance markers on or off. the headunit doesnt know what camera you are using so they would not be correct if you swapped to another camera because they all have different ranges.

Yes, the ditance markers probably wouldnt be accurate when changing cameras or it would have to be recalibrated.

Nevermind I found it thanks Matt
Re: 2008 WK aftermarket backup camera Install
I have mine running from the top of the trunk near the lift gate grommet down the side of the trunk and then if you lift up the plastic piece by the latch clip you will see a few holes. These go directly to the bottom of your jeep then just run it over to one side of taillights then just splice it into the reverse positive wire. I also ended up running a wire from that to my head unit, telling it to go into camera mode whenever i reversed.

if you have a lockpick for a factory unit then you dont need to splice. the lockpick will power the camera

Re: Reverse Camera and Lowering passanger side mirror

Also with the lockpick I wouldn't have the need for the dealer to flash the computer correct?

No dealer flash is necessary with the lockpick
