NikonKiem has a spectacular aura about
Ripped seat replacement. What else fits ?

Hi all, as stated in my title my seat is ripped, and worn, and I wanted to replace it with a better quality real leather seat. So are there any seats from other cars/truck that would fit in this space?

Re: Ripped seat replacement. What else fits ?

You could also look into a company called Katskinz. They make real leather replacement seat covers, you remove the current seat covers be it leather, fake leather, cloth and install the Katskins replacements.

I did this on my Nissan xterra a few years ago, i found a stupidly good deal on them through ebay and installed them myself. I have a background in car audio and interior work so this wasnt a huge deal, will take the better portion of a weekend to do properly.

Not to be a party pooper, but you would NEED to find a stupidly good deal for the Katskins to be worth it. For a used WK with significant mileage it's almost more sensible to buy a new car than drop the 2-3 grand for replacements from them.

Agreed. I love katskins, but man they are proud of them pricewise.

Re: Ripped seat replacement. What else fits ?

I'd recommend contacting a local automotive upholstery shop. I will have mine done locally when I have the funds to get my driver seat repaired. In my area there are 4 shops willing to replace my torn section with new material for $100-200. Definitely not cheap. But it will look as good as new when done and they do all the work. I'll also talk to them about replacing my sh1tty worn out steering wheel cover.

For all new leather seat covers try leatherseats.com. There prices are much more reasonable then Katskins and still offer great quality.

Apparently they're on eBay too.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2010-Je...item5894c14d8d

Slick price for the full set of OEM look alikes. Too bad they use some vinyl on them just like the OEM ones too.

If you go to there website or call them you can choose all leather, partial leather, higher quality leather, suede, whatever you want. They're highly customizable. I'm planning on using them for seat cover replacements on my 05' Corvette this winter.
