Spidertrax 1.5 Spacers Istalled (Stock Wheels) & Progress

Just wanted to post some progress pics.

Spidertrax 1.5" Spacers - Imgur

Installed the Spidertrax 1.5" Spacers today. Flowmaster Super 44 arrived today so I'm going to drop her off to have it installed Monday. Going to to keep the stock resonator for now and see how it is. If I want more I can

always chop of the reso later on.
Next is OME Lift, Mambas & some 265/70/17 Duratracs. That's not going to happen until probably late fall. For now I'll start prepping, pinch weld mod. etc to be ready for the lift. Gonna add another few layers of bedliner to the step pad. It looks great sprayed but is peeling a little. Maybe PD the chrome & wheels to black, not too sure of that yet. Also plan to VTS Nightshade the tails and the indicators on the headlights. Thinking about the Yellow HID fog lights too The chrome is growing on me a bit but I still want to find a color matched front grill. I like the paint rather than chrome on the front.

08 5.7 Hemi Limited WK - Here's what's done so far.
Rola Cargo Basket (Rattle Canned Semi-Gloss Black)
Factory Hitch installed with D-Ring
Front Shackle Mounts w/ D-Rings S
pidertrax 1.5" Spacers
SRT Air Inlet Tube Swap
LED Interior Lights

I'm in love.

Looking good. Subscribing for updates. Also interested in how you think the Super 44 will sound installed.

Thanks man! It's in the shop today getting installed. I don't know too much about exhausts as I'm fairly new to modifying cars. In the past I haven't really done more than visual & audio upgrades. All that being said, I watched as many videos & listened to as many sound clips as I could find.

This is the video that sold me

That setup just welds in the Super 44 (3" Offset Inlet - 3" Center Oulet) in place of the huge stock muffler.

I'm going to give it some time and if I want some more sound I can chop out the stock resonator and just put a straight pipe to the tip. Here is how that would sound.

Hope that helps!!

Re: Spidertrax 1.5 Spacers Istalled (Stock Wheels) & Progress

So I had the Super 44 installed and I love it.

They found an additional leak in the metal to metal flange right before the stock muffler, so they cut that out and welded in a solid piece.

I will try to get a video of the sound but I'm not sure it will do the sound justice. I have the same set-up as the first video above (Super 44 with stock resonator & tip) but it does not sound like that. It's much much deeper and mean sounding.

It's loud but not overbearing. I park in my driveway, so I did the remote start test. I could definitely hear it in my house (I could also hear the stock set-up too), it is a little louder than stock at initial start-up, but when warming up in the driveway at idle it did not seem bothersome to me or my neighbors, phew. It's fairly quiet below 2K rpm, but once you get on the gas or get above 2K it gets pretty loud.

I only did about 10 miles or so last night, not enough to see how it would sound on cruise control on the highway. But around town, red light to red light it sounds great. In my opinion it's the best sounding truck I heard last night.

So far I would highly recommend this set-up. I only paid $79 for the muffler and $110 for the install with the additional leak fix. At this point I don't think I will be cutting off the stock resonator, I don't want it louder. I will probably put a nice looking tip on though.

Will be interested to see a video of highway driving sound!
