I thought they were all inlaid too. A buddy of mine got some aftermarket side rails for his wk jeep awhile back and they had were raised lettering for some reason. But the process either way is basically the same. Hopefully the letters are inlaid. If so, you can just follow my guide but keep the tape covering the letters and remove the outer piece of tape instead. Have your buddy spray down your main color and clear over the top of the tape covered letters. Then just gently peel off the tape thats been covering the letters after its all dried. That should get you the results you want

Aright... I need to get in on this. Someone pm me and we can get started on resin inlays. That'd look killer. It will take some good images and measuring... But I'm sure I can work something out.

Well I got them painted - but the letters are raised, not inlaid. Any ideas?

Also, do they make 4x4 black emblems? Stupid chrome.

You could take some tracing paper found at any hobby store and do a pencil or charcoal rubbing over the top of the raised letters. Then take that to a local vinyl shop or maybe even Nate could do it for you. Have your tracing of the letters made into black vinyl stickers that you can then put on top of your new painted moldings.

The 4x4 emblem is simple, easiest way is to just to plasti-dip them on the car. Plenty of videos on youtube for how to videos. Or take the emblems off, sand them with 1500-2000 grit sand paper and paint them flat black. Then put them back on with some 3M automotive tape.
