Re: Switchbacks

ok here is a pic...looks like i have the normal 3 wires (green, black, black w/purple stripe)...so i guess i will just need to splice into the green wire and the black wire. does it matter which wire get's which end of the resistor?

Re: Switchbacks

no it doesnt matter which end of resistor goes.

you could also just tap into the one side.....the green to one end of the resistor and then put the other end to the fender ground lug.

or you can tap into both wires right there.

Robpp... Thanks... Know anything about the 08-10's? I have 6 wires going into the socket... Two black, two green, and two black purple... Wondering if anyone has faced that... My switchbacks work if the resistor is hooked to either of the green wires or both. I tried another resistor on the marker light and haven't had any changes...

On the 08+ get a good light n there and look for the beginning of the harness. There is a connector where it starts. You want to find the wires from harness connector. Then the go into that turn plug and come right back out. Go to side marker etc.

You want to intercept the wire from connector and tap their.

I can say on these that it seems to be MORE that had to use 1.5 ohms.

But I would buy 2-3 ohm resistor. Cause you make them into 1.5 IF necessary. Buy 2 more if that happens.

They do get hot so mount them in a safe place.

Re: Switchbacks

yeah everyone be careful with that.....LED bulbs are one way. so sometimes you get styrange results or NO results and all it takes is to turn the bulb 180 degree and try again/
