Switchbacks

Anything special I need to know about these other than I will need resistors?

I am planning on ordering these:

http://www.amazon.com/Oracle-Lightin...7427485&sr=8-1

or these:

http://www.amazon.com/60-SMD-Color-S...7427485&sr=8-2

also what size resistors will I need? does anyone have pics/diagrams of how to wire them in?

You should go with V-LED's switchbacks.

Re: Switchbacks

what are the questions......

i have done at least 10.....all used 3 ohms per side. if you OEM HIDS then it seems you may need the 1.5.

no exact answer there. its one or the other no one knows why. its a chance to take. good thing is 2 -3ohm can make 1 1.5.

so start with 3 per side.

what other questions.....wires. get a test light. 3 bux

or its the outer two wires on the trun signal plug. or if you can tell just tap into the blink wire and ground the other side of the resistor to the fender; result is only one cut in factory harness.

what else?

Re: Switchbacks

Just look for reputable brands that are available on Amazon and go from there. Is there a certain feature or kind of switchback your looking for?

Re: Switchbacks

i have stock 07 headlights...seems like some guys have more wires than others...i haven't looked at mine yet but it seems the guys with more wires have just guessed which ones to splice and have had problems. so i just want to make sure i splice the right ones, if anyone can verify.

rob - the ghost is an 07 right? so you probably know exactly which wires to use to splice in the 3ohm resistors right?

Re: Switchbacks

Gentlemen,

I know most of the switchback questions have been exhausted, but for anyone who has them installed correctly and working... Does your side marker light work all the time correctly as it did before the LEDs?? My switchbacks work well, however my marker lights only light up when I lock my doors or my remote start is working, not when the turn signal is on or when the lights are on... I thought that another resistor hooked up to some 194 LEDs would get them to work the same... but they don't. Ive searched for this question before and didnt find a specific answer...

thanks

I had leds in the sidemsrketd with my switch backs all worked perfectly. I even added the Export side markers with less too. I ran 3 ohm per side run from the blink wire before it entered the turn socket. The ran other side of resistor to fender ground.

All worked as it should.
