Short Ram vs CAI = CAI is better overall
My air filter is right behind the R headlight, and it has a "heat shield" (sort of). Where would the filter need to go for a CAI?

That makes sense. Isn't mine in the wheel well (or right in front of it)? I guess I'm just trying to figure out where the placement is that "technically" changes SRI to CAI...
If it were lower, would it be more susceptible to sucking in water?

Well good question. answer: yes, but not as much as you would think. since you really don't have any offroad aspirations for truck.norris, I think it would be fine. that shield that came with the 140$ intake can be used to prevent splash from the wheel and a dry charger sock will help keep the filter dry from road spray and splash

Yea, Truck Norris is strictly SRT . I DO like running through puddles, tho! So, I guess if I want a *true* CAI! I need the dry charger sock.

If I got the IAT sensor extension and moved it to behind the grille, would that qualify as a CAI?

the location of the sensor doesn't determine if its a cai lol

Hahaha like Jeff said, no moving the sensor doesn't make it a CAI. Does taking a turd and putting it in a chocolate box make it a chocolate?? No.....
