Re: Talk about ANYTHING WK thread.

For around $35, I can get an IAT extension. The objective being to move the IAT forward, to where the CAI filter is. Cooler air=condensed air=bigger explosion=more power (all things being equal, and perhaps in a controlled environment)

Does it make sense to do it?
Are there any drawbacks?
Will there be any *noticeable* gains?

Sort of bro. Your really moving it to where the air hasnt been affected by the engine's heat. And because of that, the sensor reads at a cooler temp and will "trick" the ecu into running a more aggressive timing. This makes power

Re: Talk about ANYTHING WK thread.

Hey guys. Ill be back this upcoming weekend from my mission. Ive got one vlog in the shoot to go up on youtube and i may have a second to follow right on its heels.

Anyway the point of this post is i started an instagram challenge. I posted two exhuast vids on there of my glass pack setup. They are the same yet different and that is CLEARLY heard.

Anyone who DOSENT KNOW what i did to acheive the different note with basically the same setup can take a guess. ANYONE who can correctly guess what i did will get there ride drawn and will get said drawing in the mail.

AGAIN. Only guess if you dont know the difference between the setups. This keeps it fair to everyone

my instagram tag is "strongjeff"

well its a cheap trick to get more power by achieving a more aggressive timing. gains will be minimal at best, maybe 1 or 2 hp and maybe .2 better fuel mileage. question is, will the PCM relearn around it like it does to jet chips? likely not.

all n all, I would do it and while im at it, swap the sensor for the challenger one as it sticks further into the intake, away from the intake wall like ours is now

No, but it's like 10x cheaper... My next BIG thing is the UD pulley. Can't afford both (well not w/o a second job!)

You *would* do it? I was just gonna mount it to something. I wasn't gonna drill a NEW hole in the CAI tube. That's what I saw on the SRT8 forum.
I read the PCM will relearn it; you just need to disco the neg battery terminal...

id do it, if only on drag days just for the more aggressive timing, but the having to reset the thing every few weeks is a put off for me. I did a jet stage two and got rid of it cuz I had to keep reseting it
