Re: Talk about ANYTHING WK thread.

I was talking about just the combo (5100/ome) on the rear. I'll run adj bilsteins up front. If the hd ome DO work with 5100 in the rear that's the route I would take.

Huh your right I just looked at that... That's gotta be pushing almost 3.5" of lift. The coils are gonna be 2.5" of lift plus the perch at the lowest setting will be another .75". I think that's too much lift and you will start messing things up real badly. Not to mention how badly it's gonna wear the struts. It's possible but I wouldn't recommend it at all.

To be honest.. just go for ome coils and 4600s.. will net about 2.75 of lift and no messing with any really tricky shit since you dont want the oem coils anymore.

I still don't really understand why he doesn't want oem coils.... Personally if it were me I would go with the 5100's and stick with the oem coils. They are designed for the application and will be a better setup

Re: Talk about ANYTHING WK thread.

Not that I don't want to sleeps, just looking at all options within my budget. The lift on the ome comes from the longer shock and not the coil or do I have that reversed? I was under the impression that the coils could be used from an ome with oem shocks In the rear, which wouldn't be a lift correct? The lift in the rear would come from the 2" spacer i'd be adding to the equation. PLEASE correct me if I have this all mixed up. Lol it's been a long week, 26 hrs of OT!!!!

No the lift comes from the coils. However shocks are designed to go with a certain amount of lift. So a stock shock with a ome 2" coil isn't going to ride as well and last as long.

This.. 4600s will handle the lift and the 5100s. Im still leaning towards the 4600s and ome coils for you.. will be 700 or less than that if you shop around for all 4 coils and shocks/struts. Will get you the height you want.

This is how im planning on lifting my jeep when i can afford it and new rims/Tires. To run 285 55 20s.. a little more than 32 inch tires.

Re: Talk about ANYTHING WK thread.

I was originally interested in getting 20's with some aggressive tires. I'll post a pic of a wk2 i found with the wheel/tire reference. But either way, I ain't riding stock past New Years. If I have to wait longer and save for a full ome I can deal with spacers all around in the meantime. But bigger tires on my factories is happening regardless lol.

Ok so when I look at this I don't necessarily like the wheels. But the wheel/tire combo is what I'm looking for or close on my wk.

offset suggestions welcome also.
