Thanksgiving Weekend Plasti-Dipping

So I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and my buddies heated garage. The initial plan was to dip all the wheels, the grill, all the chrome trim (on doors & under window) and all the badges.

Unfortunately it was super cold and windy so all the work had to be done in the garage. We were only able to get the wheels, door trim & grill done.
I also did 3 coats of VHT Nightshades & 3 Coats of Clear on the tail lights. Tails still need to be sanded as there is some running clear coat and a finger print of two form me being impatient.

Once it gets warmer out I am going to do the rest of the trim (rear bumper & under windows) and the badges. My shiny new 5.7L badge jst came in the mail, so I'll get that done as well. But for now, here she is!

I think it looks awesome and can't wait to finish the rest. If this grows on me I'm going to have all the parts I dipped (except the wheels) painted satin black. The rims I'm probably going to get some 2013 Rubicon Take-Offs and paint them gloss black, or get the Mambas in black. But for now I love the dip!

This is a two part answer, lol.

Part 1. It was easy, if you're a dumb brute like me. Cram a trim remover tool (or small flat head) behind the trim and slowly lift up. You see the little clips, then you have to pop them out.

Part 2. Do it another way, because I broke at least 6 clips, one or more on each piece of trim. And I also crcked one of the pieces about 1/2 way through. Luckily there is like 6 clips per peice, so it still went on fine, albeit a little looser than it was, but I don't see an issue.

I would see if you can find a better tutorial than "pop em out", because I had some issues. However, I plan to get a whole new set, hoping it come with new clips, so I can send it out to be painted.

Sorry for the delayed response.

The cargo Rack is a Rola
http://www.amazon.com/Rola-59504-Vor.../dp/B004R34HDC

The plasti dip costs about $6.99 per can. I used 8 cans. That did all 4 rims, my grille and my side trim.
