Tinting Tail Lights Finally

So tonight I went out and got all the materials needed to tint my tail lights tomorrow. Right now I have the clear Spyder LED Tail Lights and I want to go darker on them to make them look smoked.

Are there any pre cautions i should take to make sure it turns out perfect or is there anything that is a must do? I want to make it look perfect. I am gonna go with the VHT NightShades with the clear coat to make it look legit. Please give me any advice or anything that I should do to make it look good and last long. Thanks

Re: Tinting Tail Lights Finally

I just finished putting on the last coat of Clear Coat. And they look pretty foggy and dull. Will this go away when I polish, sand, and Wax Later?
Please respond quick

did you wet sand before the clearcoat? I always do the last coat a bit thick so its smooth/shiney , wet sand ,clear(again last coat thick) wet sand & polish.

No I put the last Coat of the spray on then waited an hour then I put the Clear coat on. 15 minutes between coats then this morning I put one more clear coat on.

How long after the last coat of clear should I wait before I wet sand and polish. If i put the last coat of clear on at 9:30 would i be able to wet sand at like 5 in the evening or is that too soon?

Re: Tinting Tail Lights Finally

It should be dry enough by then.

Re: Tinting Tail Lights Finally

I knew it was bound to happen. One of the lights got screwed up on the clear coat. One light is good and it looks good and is dry. However on the other I must of done it too soon and i wet sanded it again and then put another set of clear on it and it became bubble ish and so now i sanded it down and put another set of clear on it. Hopefully by the time its done drying they will look the same with the same shine. One looks shiny and one is dull.
Has this happened to anyone else and will it get fixed after drying?
