User experience and opinions on Dealer Paint Protection

What experience or opinions are out there of products such as this http://www.motorone.com/car_care/smartkote.php

I am stumped on whether to do this or not and whether it is worth the high cost. I have a few hours left to decide.

Imo it is not worth it, just maintain your vehicle yourself and it will always look new

I would say could be worth it if you get it for under $200. Only problem is my dealer closed when Chrysler reduced the number of dealerships. Thats the problem, see if any dealer will warranty. Not the case with mine.

I don't trust anything a dealership has to say or sell me. I'd say just maintain it yourself.

Re: User experience and opinions on Dealer Paint Protection

Paint Protection? Any detail shop or mobile detailer can do this (or you can pick up a few things and do it yourself). I wax my cars twice a year, wash them regularly and when I am ready to sell them, the paint is in great condition. One of the best things you can do is skip the car wash and do it at home (in the winter I use go to a touchless car wash, then finish up with a quick detailer like Poorboys Spray & Wipe). NO CARWASH = NO SWIRLMARKS.
