Honestly I forget exactly what I used. I know it was a clear made for plastics. And yeah if you can afford it get it done professionally. The vht will not make the long run. Expect a year or 2 out of it. That was my experience at least. Then I had to redo it.
Get a set of LED tails and a spare 3rd brake light, send it out to our vendor UR50SLO (email:UR50SLO@aol.com) and get them professionally done like I did!
I did mine with it, came out good. Clearcoat is definitely a necessity. Also ended up doing my front reflectors with it also, masked off my side marker lights, then painted them same color as the Jeep,kinda like Stillen covers. Overall, I'd say it depends on your capabilities and patience. If you're not sure about it, definitely get them done professionally.
did it myself and it worked very well and it was not hard at all, just look up the youtube videos and follow the directions and you won't have a problem
