Attempted to Plasti dip the chrome moldings and belt line as well as the grill... Needs retouched and front driver door molding needed redone completely but ran out of daylight. Any tips on how to not screw up the dip when pulling off my masking...was kinda elastic and was not tearing at the tape line and would accidentally peel the whole job off. I did 5 or 6 coats on everything and let it dry about 30 min in between coats and and hour before peeling my masking... after final coat. Anyway here's the progress so far on operation chrome delete.

On that last coat, you need to peel while the plasti is still wet. If it dries, it'll do just what you said.. Pull up and take more along with it. To get a clean line pull that tape while its still damp so no sticking. It will follow your line way easier. And you'll still be all good coat wise Looks good though. White PD mighta been a cool touch

I've also heard you shouldn't mask so close to the area so you can just rub the overspray off and leave the intended paint surface alone.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

ive actually pulled the side trim off and refreshed them about a year ago and the best part, no having to mask anything. the trim pulls off the doors but be carefull as they are just plastic

yep not happy about it... it was pouring out so bad that the windshield wipers couldnt keep up with the rain even on the fastest setting. hit the curb backing up.

good news is im just gonna throw some touch up paint on it for the rest of the summer and ill just buy another rim, because they are pretty cheap to replace.
