Another forum I am on does this, its great for the little nothings not worthy of a new thread. Its a confidence booster for your WK to let it know even the little things are important... oil change, de-badging, painting bits and pieces, repairs, the fact that you finally got to drive it...
Ill start:
- considering I made all of 2.1 hrs for the 6.5 hrs I was at work, I pulled the grand in, pulled the front end off and rerouted my HID relay harnesses for my fogs and headlamps. When I initially installed them I was slamming them in with no time to worry about wire routing or ballast mounting.
-Checked all my fluids to make sure all was still good considering the open heart surgery done to her a couple months back, all checked out good other than what looks like a slight coolant leak from my radiator end tank.
-dusted her exterior and shined the tires (she got a bath last night but it sprinkled on the way home)
-Installed a steel skid plate!
-Saturday I pulled off my steering wheel to resolve my squeeking clockspring and clicking turn signal cancelor cam, In a moment of NON-thinking I spritzed the clockspring with some spray lube, good news... it is quiet... bad news, I had a "check electric brake system" message in the evic and the traction control light on following. Quickly hooking up the witech I found I had an "internal scm failure". 2 days of driving later it went off and hasnt come back (phew)
Ordered replacement Metal Matrix Stillen pads, front are a bit worn down, but not bad considering I did 25k miles in them (in the desert heat and tonnes of stop and start traffic). Rotors are still untouched.
Noticed the boots on the UCA ball joints (first Moog now ACDelcos) are ripped again .. getting quite annoying considering this is the second pair I go through, each lasting just over a year. Will try the Fabtech (FTS20155) ones as they seem to have a more rugged boot design, and this thread convinced me to go with these.
In other news have to sell the wife's BMW E92 325i as the family expands, to be replaced with a compact SUV (watch this space ) .
Has anyone done anything interesting with their AM/FM antenna? I've got a shorty on now but am planning a complete delete and (probably) installing a hidden type. Just wondering if anyone's already done it...
Decided to change up the wheels and brakes a bit. Now I know everyone does all black but that's the look I've wanted to do since before I bought the srt.

Deleted my external whip antenna and installed an internally mounted amplified antenna. Still messing with the plug for the fender, I'm not in love with the current solution...
I installed some Run Cool Hood Louvers today. All in all, these were really straightforward and it took only four hours to do! There is more info in my build thread if anyone is interested on how I did it!

Put in front and rear Weathertech floor mats. Love them!
Also washed and mildly detailed my WK.
Up next:
1. Dash cover (live in south Texas=brutal summer heat)
2. RC 2" lift
3. Bilstein 5100 shocks/struts
4. 1.5" wheel spacers
(will be ordering items 2-4 in the next month, hopefully)

Gave my trans a nice overhaul! More info in the build thread.
I got a Transgo Shift Kit, Mopar updated solenoid pack, B&M Drain Plug kit, a Filtermag magnet, and some other small goodies.
Some pics from the Transgo HD2 Shift Kit and the new solenoid.
The five holes are accumulator pistons and inside the pistons are springs. Five springs, all five inner piston seals, the switch valve and cap, as well as the plate to hold it all in will be replaced!
The springs are much stiffer in the shift kit. The new one is on the right.
As for the piston, my finger is pointing to the seal the is going to be replaced. It is replaced with an expander and a new ring.
The new switch valve and cap are on the bottom. They are claimed to be self lubricating.
And the new reinforced plate to cover it all up!
And the solution to my problem to begin with, the new solenoid!
right now i want upgrade the headlight to HID OEM.alreday bought the headlights but still looking the harness.it's too hard to find someone can built the harness for me!
Antenna delete ! in the UK/Europe the antenna is built into the glass of the rear quarter window. So we don't have to worry about blanking holes in fenders !!
Installed these led logo projectors the other day. I was swapping out my door speakers and figured I'd try these out while I had it apart. They look pretty good for what they are, just not sure I love the idea yet...
The amber lights are actually a low pro side marker light typically used for street bike applications, I wanted to have a marker light for visibility when the doors are open, I looked at a few options and found these to be of acceptable dimensions. So far they're working out pretty well, here's a link to a similar set, not the one I bought because I can't find them anymore, but I assume they're all the same anyhow.
