In my opinion most mods have a compromise, so this one is lower mpg but less chance of a rock causing carnage
Probably depends on the engine too. I have the 5.7 in my 09 I took the air dam off and out the 4xguard skid on and there was no difference. Then I put 20"srt reps with 31" tires and a 2" body lift on and still no change in mpg.
My hemi also has the diablo predator tune, k&n fipk, and magnaflow performance cat back exhaust.

The difference should probably be measured in meters per gallon

I also have a 5.7 09 with 31" tires and a 2" body lift, mopar cai and cb, stock tune.

Found an 09. If I can sell mine I will probably end up buying it.

I was responding to another post there as mentioned I doubt it would have a 'considerable' impact on the mpg, do you have a lower bumper air dam for instance, I believe the drag would cost more in mpg over the weight (plus the one I have made I think may be thicker than the 4xguard equivalent so quite a bit heavier).

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Finally got the BMC air filter "twin Cone", this thing roars at full throttle!! I am hoping the ECU would adapt with the increased air flow to get full benefit of this. The top is made out of carbon fibre.
Left is the old mopar intake filter, right is a bad boy:

and now installed

Although the ford mustang gt and bmw 335i look very appealing given their much lower price points and much better fuel economy.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Replaced the burned out HID fogs with LED's from xenon depot. Wanted them to color match the headlights and I'm pretty happy. The pic on the side of the jeep is fog lights on only.
