Re: What did you do to your WK today?

When I was on I-94 the other day, the driver in front of me hit and kicked up a rubber all weather floor mat that smacked my freshly waxed front bumper. Luckily it buffed out several hours later!

well that thread was from when it came off on the highway. this time the puddle was A LOT deeper than it looked + 30 mph = . any ways it was raining pretty good and I was already 10 under the speed limit coming down this hill and there was water halfway across the road. there usually is when it rains here, so I was like okay, no problem it will be like always, I run thru it and wash the underside of the truck.... lets just say it made a bigger splash!

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Got in on a local deal for a $49 full interior and exterior detailing job. It includes headlight restoration, buffing out minor scratches, rim scrubbing, steam cleaning under the hood, interior leather wipe & condition, steam cleaning the carpets, and full interior wipedown & glass cleaning. Not to mention the obvious car wash & wax

Looks like my Jeep will be nice and clean in the near future...it's been a long time since she's been clean...

That is an awfully good price...almost too good. You may want to stay close when they do any buffing and waxing. The wrong pads or dirty pads can do some real damage to your finish. And if they don't know what they're doing they can ruin your paint.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. I'll be staying around to watch, that's for sure. I bought one of the coupons for my sister's Lexus RX 350 as a Christmas gift too, but I'll take the Jeep in first to make sure that everything is as it should be. It's a relatively new show, so lot a lot of reputation out there, which is probably why they posted the deal. I mean, a GOOD headlight restoration kit on it's own is like $20, and this saves me the time doing it . My headlights were getting foggy eyebrows along the top.

Aye, you're a good brother to put your Jeep in harm's way before they lay their wax impregnated hands on your sister's beloved Lexus!...and cleaning all those cracks and crevices in the interior is worth the price alone. Sounds like you may have stumbled into a good deal as long as you ride herd. If you have to bust chops too much you can throw them a good tip when they're done.

The transfer case uses a 10 mm hex for both the drain and fill plugs. It was a relatively easy task maybe took all of 15 mins to really let all the fluid drip out and a few mins pumping the new bottles back in.

Remember always remove your fill plug first to make sure it comes out, to avoid draining the old fluid and not being able to refill.
