Re: What did you do to your WK today?

well I finally fixed that pesky exhaust leak in the header. did it earlier today. I took a bolt, cut the head off of it. then used the bolt head as a plug in the header and welded it into place. took an hour and a half to drop the header, plug it and reinstall it. she sounds Purdy now. I can finally enjoy the exhaust note coming from the rear. surprising enough tho, is the lack of drone. this setup, even catless, has the least amount of drone of any setup I ran, its almost too quite...its uncanny.

The second thing I did today was topped of the windshield washer fluid with de-icer fluid. especially since I used most of it to melt off the ice from the storm that rolled thru lol

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Im digging your exhaust from the youtube vids. I HATE mine tho. If i knew how to weld and had access to 1, i would change mine.

Any difference running 2x mufflers than 1?

well the only thing I can think of that would sound different in a dual exhaust setup over the single exit would be that you hear both sides of the engine. by the exhaust pulses not mixing I think it made it sound smoother. being catless made it sound more natural in my opinion. I will be doing a final catted setup when I get back from korea, will still be duals but hears what im thinking:

-jba headers
-magnaflow mids
-magnaflow x-crossover pipe
-solo performance reso's
-magnaflow bullet style mufflers in the rear
-full mandrel pipes

take em off= less weight.

I took mine off and plug them with the correct size bolts and sealed it up with some window sealant.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Just take the top roof rail off and cut the bolts shorter and use those. That's what I used for my painted srt rails.

Can I see those SRT rails (if you have a picture)? Sadly unlike most of you guys I don't have those amazing tools haha

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

After you take off the rails, you can see the bolt are too long without any rails. I had a bunch of bolts and luckily found 8 or 10 that fits. There a thread here on rails by TimmyB with some part # you can get at a auto store.

Thanks Davy I'll look into it right now ! Cause I like the SRT rails but if I can't get those I'll just get different bolts
