Mine doesn't rattle but the cold killed the little bar that holds up the glass. I lifted it up and it slammed down on my head...

My pistons have been busted for years on the window, but I don't use it enough to justify replacing them each at like $30.

EDIT: I thought they were $30 locally, but were actually $20. I looked them up on Amazon and couldn't pass up a set of StrongArm lifts for $~33. That's the same brand that I replaced the main liftgate pistons with, and even in the winter they're so strong that I have to force it closed!

I'll be interested to see how much they'll charge you. Ask if they would do an "H" or an "X" to mix the two sides.

Oh 3 inch huh? you may lose some low end power but it will pick it up from the mid range up. going catless true duals had the same effect. its slow off the line but once she is rolling look out!

It would be interesting to see if they would even do the modification to the mid pipe to make it work. the factory midpipe has 3 layers to it. it has a 2.5 inch outer layer, then a mesh layer that is just under a quarter inch.(that is the layer to worry about, it eats saw blades really fast!) Then there is a 2.25 inch inner layer that carries the exhaust stream....

The other issue is how the factory pipe has its bends, they merge to one right above the cross member with a double 45* bend just before it. (that allows Clearance for the cats and the floor pan) I ran mine hacked together for a while before I decided to fab up new mids altogether. And because I wasn't keeping the cats, I was able to shorten the pipes a little by not needing the 7 additional bends.

If you look on your factory pipes, coming off the left side you have that large double bend necessary to clear the front drive shaft. Then there are on each side, just before they merge into one, there is a 45* double bend, as well as the final bend to bring it below the cross member on the back side. needless to say, my new mids only have 3 bends in it, and is a true 2.5 inch! I have pictures earlier in this thread...

Well the problem is here in California I was planning on doing a high cat but it is ILLEGAL to even mess with the cats and surely with out it it won't pass emission checks and also illegal to mess with the mid pipe TRUST I looked into all this cause I wanted to get the high cat flow and change out the mid pipe to 3 inch as well. I don't drive auto unless lazy glad we have the option to go shiftronic.

Will be sure to ask no worries since mine is a single pipe I might keep it that way don't have much money and I already run a 40 series flowmaster just want the pipes done instead of ordering a whole new cat back I like my exhaust lol

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Scheduled a local place to get my new security system installed for next week. I went ahead and bought two OEM style keys w/ transponders only so I could ditch the huge FOBs and programmed them in advance.

Ended up with the Python 5706 2-way security + remote start kit, DB-ALL bypass, DEI battery backup, DEI glass break sensor, and DEI piezo siren.

Should take care of the horrid range issues I've always had with the FOBs, which only get even worse in the winter!

After all was said and done, should be about $680 total.
