Re: What did you do to your WK today?

On the subject of exhaust tips, I finally got rid of the 'unpaintable' stainless steel exhaust tip from the Mopar Catbat upgrade (read Borla). This is after 3 attempts to ceramic coat and powered coat the b*&@$rd. Here are some before and afters:

It got the chop:

The replacement from Gibson Performance (intercooler version), 2.5" inlet, 4" outlet, part#500419-B:

Job done. It needed a small extension pipe due to where the previous exhaust fitted close to the mount point:

Thanks!, it was $96 plus 6$ shipping in the US. 0% chrome now!

Just make sure you can mount it (there is enough pipe between the mount and the existing tip, otherwise you will have to make an extension and weld that on).

Not clear on what you mean when you say "Sub Converter" Is that a speaker level to line level converter?

The converter that converts the speaker wire to RCA

Gottcha. Did you originally have a factory sub? If so, did you take the speaker signal from the wires going to the sub, or from full range speakers like the rear speakers?

Not stock sub. But I have a stock amp that I had to bypass so I could get highs from my 6/9's in the front door instead of just lows and it was working fine. I think it's the converter because my amp has power all wires are connected and the converter was giving me problems from the get go. And it was just a cheap little thing so I'm Guna spend the extra money and hopefully fix the peoblem
