I think it's just a fdcm recall notice from your local dealership you are registered with.

Is that your N23 recall notice? And if so, you don't want to get that.

It would be the recall that has Wk and XK owners around the world pissed off. Including me, who now doesn't have 4-Lo available. There are multiple threads on multiple platforms and different forums on this. One thread in the other forum starts back when the recall was first offered. From there the thousands of replies tell an unfolding story of the circus you are run through of denial and (in my case) lies from dealerships and Chrysler.

They have to get you to do it. It's a safety recall for remote starting, something like 26 cases where the vehicle went into neutral and rolled away. I am still perplexed why people don't use a parking break. It's a parking break. Anyway, it's a safety recall. The problems occurring are a result of trying to go into 4-Lo. This problem not being well know is due to the low % of owners shifting into 4-Lo. And it happens randomly. Mine happened around the 5th time I went to shift into 4-Lo. Now I am without it until the codes are cleared. And it will happen again randomly. Ask your dealer. But I would educate yourself from owners who have been dealing with this longer than I have. As of right now, the only consensus has been to replace your FDCM from an exact match out of a scrap yard from an exact wk match that predates the recall you just got. You can find them on ebay now for $150. But it might not match yours. Don't get the recall, just use the parking break.
