Yup. You gots it. Im steping up from the stock 3.07 to a 3.73 ratio

Nice! You'll have to get used to the different shift points and cruise speeds but should be a good gain in accel from stop. Of all the mods I did to my Wrangler, the 4.88's were my favorite gain. With 35's it just didn't have the legs with the stock 3.73's, put me back to factory power ranges. With yours it'll be an improvement over stock, not just trying to get back to center. Are you running open gears or LS?

Currently open diff but I found an lsd in 29 spline for it for 400. Deff. Improvement.

I'm trying to figure out what gears I run so I can swap me out too. My neighbor did it to his 03 taho and wow it made a difference from the stop.

One of two. 3.55 or 3.73 dep on your 4x4 system

So if I have the QT2 and I'm 4x4 365 24/7 with 4lo does that narrow it down? Lol and any recommendation on what to go to. I wanna be able to be a red light warrior but still have plenty of power left to put down on the highway

You should have the 3.73 ratio. Aren't you wanting to go rwd tho? If you do id stay at 3.73 or go up to a 3.90.

I was thinking about RWD. But my dad and his friends were starting to out weigh my logic( wanting my jeep to do wheelies) with the whole I'll get a better launch from 4wd. So I'm just trying to go through different ideas of how to get more power to the ground and get great launch and maybe the occasional wheel spin. I'm conflicted. Lol

Well that better launch comes with more drive line stress...

Like more chance of something happening to let's say a....driveshaft?

No. The drive shaft will experience the same stress as a rwd or 4x4. Chances are trans or less likely t case. But the chances are low at stock power levels.

So if I don't mess with the gears or the power really any further then my tune my transmission will be alright? Is it creating extra kinetic energy or something that would cause it to strain and break?

Well the stock 545 should be good for about 450 to 500 whp before it lets go. Its more of a frictional stress on the clutch packs

For some reason my bass is cutting out when the volume is low, im using the output from the BA factory amp which is full range, as input to the bass amp. Im concerned as this was not noticeable before... Guys in the shop claim i need to add a signal filter pre bass amp. Its gonna be a work in progress as i just got back from South Africa and have to travel to Saudi and Oman this week, bring on the airmiles :)

Noticed this bullet proof Nissan Patrol whilst i was at the workshop :)

Im not too familiar with your setup or the ba amp, but maybe you have a ground coming loose. I had a similar issue of my bass cutting out. Ended up being my grounds being loose. But I wasn't sure on the exact cause so I also upgraded my ground wires using battery cable found in military trucks. Got it from the motorpool on the spool we had laying around. Wanna say its +0 gauge.

Hey man, i have a heavy gauge ground wire, i also thought it was the case, but to reproduce it i need 'quiet' periods in a track with no low frequencies and then it cuts out, therefore suspect a signalling issue from the source amp... Could be wrong though... These things take time to get to the bottom of, so will leave it in the workshop with the tech guys in a couple of weeks, once i stop all this crazy travel!

I guess thats best bro. The professionals can handle it. I would think also that it could be a loose wire if not ground then in the signal wire to the amp.

Yup, its been years since i have done any electronics and wouldn't wanna add to the problem :)

Im beginning to suspect the wheeling trips might have disconnected something in the BA amp, so most likely will turn up when we take the rear quarter apart ...

I told ya bro insurance on an ss is gonna be killer. It's considered a sports car and therefore dangerous so you pay more. The insurance on an srt jeep is the same as the regular jeeps.

Yeah my fiance just found out the hard way! Lol time to look into the srt

The negative was on so poorly it might has well have not even been there the wire had been frayed I'm sure you already checked this but if not do before you spend any unneeded money like me 27$ for a best buy line converter
