Yeah 3 qts. I guess when the valve let go it must have started to burn oil.

Or, here is my theory as to what happened.

The engine began to burn oil, this may or may not have been immediately noticeable to Josh. The engine got down 3qts on oil and began to starve the valve train due to poor/insufficient oil supply. (possibly caused by low oil or a blocked passage to valves) The lack of lube caused excess friction in the valve train which lead to A: a broken valve spring. B: a broken retainer. Oil Burn likely caused by worn valve guides.

It seems quite possible. I also thought the valve guide seal itself fell out of the bore onto the valve which led to oil burn and low compression. Its quite a common issue for the valve guide seals to fall out on the HEMI's apparently. From what I am reading, its a steel valve seal pressed into a an aluminum head, so the heat up and cool down rates vary and if the engine gets too hot, say from quickly shutting off after a short drive it can cause it to fall out. And Nick I can hear the fuel pump priming.

Deffinatley not a fuel pump lol. I think you could of blown a ring as well especially since it was so low on oil. Only one way to tell. I just looked down the cylinders of my acura with my inspection cam. Very handy tool.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Anyone ever pull an engine out of one of these jeeps? Hows the access around the bellhousing bolts, torque converter to fly wheel bolts, and mount to engine bolts? Whats a good place to connect the hoist? I should have no problem removing the accessories, but with my limited hand tool set I am more worried about the hard to reach places.

Hey if you get around to pulling the heads off the engine. Take a look at the valve seats too. They are also pressed in to the head. Its a common issue on the 3.7 head for the seats to come out when the heads are over heated. When I run her hard im keeping close tabs on the temp gauge, and giving her time to cool.

Washed my jeep today. Took a break from cleaning out my dads house.

So my Hids install that I thought went easily.
Well on way home today my passenger side wouldn't kick on. Got it fired up, and noticed my passenger side fog wasn't on. When I got home I began messing with the wires. And couldn't seem to get it straightened out. I ended up going back to stock lows, after some playing around with the passenger side bulb. Which seemed to be jammed in.
As for the fogs, I popped the fuse for them. I replaced fuse, and popped again.
Anyone have any ideas? No relays on the fogs, had none for the lows either. I will install relay for the lows when I get my replacement bulbs in. As for the fogs. Not sure why I'm popping the fuse just yet. Also out of that size fuse. So I'm fog-less for now.
