only JBA made headers for the 3.7 and they are short tubes, but the 3.7 picked up 3 tenths in the 1/8th so over half a sec quarter from them.

That's a pretty solid gain. I've been considering the obx headers but I want to make sure I can get my engine running and the tranny is happy before doing more to it. However they don't come with cars so I will need to weld my stock ones in and drill holes for the o2s and install extensions.

well the collectors on the factory 3.7 are only 2 inch and the jba's are a half inch larger. I believe jba used a 1.5 or 1.75 inch tube for the primaries on these headers. the stock manifolds are severely restricted. they stick out from the heads less then the length of a Newport cigarette.

that sucks that you gotta weld in the o2 bungs, they have to be positioned just right in the exhaust stream.

as long as you don't go too far down you should be fine, problem is it will only be tapped into one primary and not the whole thing. the advantage of short tubes, no need to move o2 bungs and still frees up power

I'll probably get an exhaust shop to do the welding. I suck at welding and don't even have a working welder anymore either. Exhaust shop rates aren't bad for welding either.
