Re: What did you do to your WK today?

The spyder is direct plug and play for 05-07. If you want to use them on 08+ you will need to get them re wired. 05 - 07 uses two bulbs one for brake the other for indicator while the 08+ uses 1 bulb for both functions I believe. The only individual bulb that will plug up is the reverse where you need to swap the old bulb over.

Blacknblue- did u drill holes to mount the spoiler? I wasn't drilling holes in my lift gate so I just used a f*ck ton of double sided tape.

Greenwayer- I thought the only started using brilliant black in later years? Like 07+

Nope they had it for the 05's discontinued it for 2 years and started it again in 08. Mine is brilliant black. I think it started to cost too much and chrysler and the economy was going in a slump.

I see so it's like the 05.5 switch to basic black. They must be hurting real bad if they have to make cost saving switches in the MIDDLE of a model year.

Is this what y'all's LED tail assemblies look like? I guess I'm wondering if they come with a harness adapter or what? The pigtail harness' coming out of the housings appear to plug directly into a 3157 socket to draw power, which is definitely not the configuration of my WK. How about all you guys that already have em?

In mine the harness plugs to the factory harness and has a box attached to it so that it becomes can compatible to function proper. I had one go bad within a year. Figured out it was the box when I swapped lights around to see if that side had gone. Right light worked on the left side where the light was bad. So I swapped the boxes and low and behold left light worked on left side. Problem is, they dont just sell the box separately and had to replace both tails to get one good one. I did save the box from the good light if I have that issue again....
