Dude trust my friend's fingers were pretty bad. Literally hanging off by only one side of flesh. Very disturbing. Those springs when compressed are very very volatile. My friend was lucky it was pointed towards the ground and not towards himself. A coil spring to the chest can break ribs and kill. Your very lucky but man just be careful. What's a PTO?

PTO: Power Take Off. On the M1070, it's attached to the transmission on the side, it drives a separate shaft to run the hydraulic pump.

Believe me bro, I didn't mean to poke fun at it, I know how serious it can be, all I mean was I am not afraid to take it on. I did suspension work when I worked at Pennzoil full service center. I seen a caging bolt on airbrakes get sent thru cement walls cuz it wasn't properly caged.

Caging an air brake means to disengage the brake on that wheel so it doesn't function. there are a few reasons to do this. One, that wheel's brakes are locked or there is a problem there. 2, to make them safe to work on. (depends on the job being done)

This is a M1070 HET, the PTO is behind the circled box, that box has to come out and then to get to it you gotta crawl up in there, its one of the biggest pita'a I have come across

Yup. Its the only truck in the world rated to pull the m1a1 Abrams. The trailer has 40 wheels.

What's the most common tank in the field now the m1 Abrams? Have you guys started getting the m1a3's yet? Are the Abrams difficult to work on?
