I'm a noob when it comes to exhausts and mufflers. I guess i could get just a muffler but i figured if i wanted the best possible sound that wouldn't be the best choice.

Hmmm if im correct you get better performance woth the whole catback the exhaust is just for sound with very minimal performance

i think a muffler swap will be best if just for sounds. I agree with the other recommendations of the magnaflow. The bigger the muffler, usually the quieter it is. Being said I have their 22in muffler, prolly their biggest and it works perfectly for me. Its a bit louder than stock, but you can def hear it and feel it when driving. Im also running 2 SRT reso's so that may also tone down the sound. I believe the 3.7 doesnt have a reso so removing the suitcase with it will sound good..for a 6. If you want louder maybe running a 18inch muffler?

Davy, your correct on the 3.7 not having a resonator from The factory and that the magnaflow is full flow. One reason I personally, well a couple of reasons actually why I don't like flowmaster. One, they use baffles in the muffler and no sound deadening material. This creates a hollow sound or one thats too tinny on the v6. The other reason is that the welds will be the first to go. Seen a number of flowmaster mufflers fail at the welds on the inlet and outlet of the muffler case.

You will get a slightly smoother sound from the magnaflow
