that's pretty much how I did it. I had no issue after install for 8 months, then my reps got stolen. I still need to buy new ones for the new wheels, but I been putting it off lately. I did get my new card so ill prob be getting them soon...I got time tho lol

Has anyone else heard of what Jeepgcoman is saying here
Tire pressure sensors 2007 WK
I can't find anything else on this. All posts just say replace and drive and will synch up. I'd hate to spend the money for the sensor(s) plus install and then still have the message come up and light flash.
Jeep Grand Cherokee WK - Tire Pressure Monitor System also says just replace and drive, and that only spare ID would need reprogramming

Affirm. The WK's WCM is an auto learn config. All you need to do is install the new TPMS sensor and drive, the service manual says drive for 20 mins above 60mph or something to that effect but that is definitely overkill. Once the new sensors are installed they should learn within a few minutes of driving at lower city speeds. At first your MIL won't come on at all, then it should come on solid and eventually go to a flashing and solid sequence. Don't panic, after a few more miles/minutes it should learn to the WCM and all will be well in your universe. You don't have to do all 4 at once, one at a time will work fine, but I always recommend doing all of em at once to save your time in the future. If one dies, the rest aren't far behind so to save you time at the shop it's more convenient to knock em all out. By no means do you have to though, as far as function goes either way will work the same, completely your call if you don't wanna drop the heavy coin on the whole job all at once. It's possible that the other sensors 'could' last a while so it may be worth just doing them as they come. Hope this helps man, let us know when you get it done, I'm curious to see if the newer rubber style works with ours cuz if they do then I'll follow suit. I spend a lot of time in the mtns and desert especially during the summer and hunting seasons and breaking a sensor is always in the back of my mind. The bonus would be the black vs. the silver looking better with my setup.

thanks for the further input Rkirk. Well if I go black I gotta get em all done at once haha. So not sure at this point. Thinking maybe 1 for now and the rest as they go. I was also thinking with getting em all done at once maybe the shop would save me some money, but I think its whatever price per each. No multi discount. Also looks like the Dorman are only with the metal stem, don't think they can be swapped out. But they are 2 piece and broken stems can be replaced. Thanks again for the time and input everyone Will definitely post up how this transpires.

What did you do to your WK today?

Sad to say I lost badly on my first race with the jeep. A guy in a matte black corvette pulled up and wanted to race. I said sure thinking it would be pretty close. Before I knew it he was way ahead of me at the next light he told me it was a 7.2L twin turbo. No wonder...
