Re: What did you do to your WK today?

So a little off topic but I drove my cousins 2014 corolla and holy shit the paddle shifter respond so well it was like the BMW 135i. I was wondering if that was just the trans response or something with having the paddle shifters. It makes me wanna find some way to get them on my hemi

The regular one does 0-60 in 4.0 so I thought it would be close if it was stock.

I know I was really just wondering if paddle shifter have anything to do with the shift response or if that's just the transmission because when I shift with the triptronic it seems like it lags to shift a little bit

No that's just the transmission. The paddle shifters will send the same signal the tiptronic does. Maybe get a valve body upgrade?

Would changing the gears help. Going to a different gear ratio?

We talking like a software update? So that would all be done with a programmer? (Ex: predator)

If I'm driving slow it seems to shift on time getting up to speed but if I'm really getting on it it's like it's driving in auto and I'm not even shifting. Is that just because it's a jeep and not a racecar? Lol plus no racing trans?
