Then what I read was totally wrong because it said the nag1 didn't have 4lo that's why it didn't have the same transfer case as the 545. If nowhere is giving me a straight forward yes or no how would I know if it will work or not. Like what should they both have to match up?

Just do a quick search on which AWD/4x4 systems came with what engine. The V6/nag has AWD, in fact 2 versions of it. one was in the Laredo and the other is in the srt. the srt has a beefed up t-case over the Laredo. Both are a single speed meaning no 4lo. But thre are 4x4 that came in the limited and over land with 4lo and the V6 was the base engine in the limited.

A search of the awd/4x4 systems that came with the nag/v6 and the systems that came with my engine/trans and compare them?

Maybe I can help with this. If I am not mistake the diesels came with the nag1 and the same transfer case you have on your 5.7 (NV 245)

But isn't the 245 the one with 4lo? Not all 4x4 v6's had the 245, they also had a single speed AWD one. I just don't remember what it was called

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Well I know mine comes with the NV245 and it's saying the W5A580/nag comes with the NV140. And from what I have read on a few other forums their words not mine "a mechanically painless swap"

Why don't you just remove the front driveshaft if you want to go 2wd?

Dude your thinking of doing a full swap and all you want is 2wd? That's easy man a lot of srt jeeps are doing that, just ask builder bill. Jeff and I were thinking you wanted to lose 4wd weight

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Oooooooh noooooo I want 4x4 gone all together and only want RWD. But on other forums it's saying just removing the front driveshaft and letting everything spin free burns up the clutches in the transfer case
