Don't do it man. They don't fit flush and the shape is wrong. One of my good friends got the outter halos and they looked dumb close up on the HID bezels because they don't match the curve properly. Look closely in your pic. He ended up returning them for a refund

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

So i fill it up with some coolant/diluted water and let it run to see if i can see the leak.
I noticed a wet spot right under the pump and coolant all over the skid plate.

Pics..

You can see the coolant...

Yup, Pretty indicative of a bad pump. You're on the right track, proceed as planned.

^ kk, gonna get this started after work 2morrow. Got a pump, some atv silicone, antiseize
As for draining all the coolant...we can just loosen the drain plug and wait it out? Did you disconnect any of the radiator hoses?

Just To be sure..this is the drain plug? driver side

Ya, that's the drain for the rad. Earlier you stated that you filled it with 'diluted' water, did you mean distilled or did you use tap water to check for leaks? I only ask because if you filled your sys with tap water you may want to flush all of that out, if it's a minimal amount it may not be a big concern. You always want to use distilled water when dealing with your cooling system, tap water contains minerals that will calcify/scale and leave deposits in your veins eventually leading to reduced flow and ultimately blockage causing overheating issues. It's fine for diagnostics if needed but avoid it for long term applications. As to your original question, yes just open the plug and let it drain, it can help to open the cap to allow air flow to speed up the process. No need to remove any of the hoses.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

If you want it to go real quick just remove the lower radiator hose. Make sure you pickup a thermostat first. Since your already draining the whole system you might as well change it while your there. Let all the coolant out unbolt the pump, clean up where the two metal surfaces mate, use a little sealent on the rubber gasket then mate the two surfaces remember not to over tighten the waterpump bolts. Then your pretty much good to go then follow the bleeding procedure. BTW i think the drainplug has to turn the reverse way you would think to open a valve. If someone could chimein to verify that would be great.
