Re: What did you do to your WK today?

^ yea we have something like that in nyc as well, problem is im only free on sat to do mainteance, sunday's usually close and the wait time at the dealer is ridiculous. Im leaning on doing myself just for experience. I dont put too many miles in a year so maybe an oil change twice a year?

Also..
Where do you guys dispose of the oil?

A lot of parts stores will take it off you for free. They get money for recycling oil.

I change mine 3 to 4 times a year. I drive maybe 8 to 10k a year not counting my road trips home and back. Also track use demands I change it sooner

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

I take mine to stupid Walmart. They'll take it free. We also have a recycling center. They take oil, antifreeze, trans fluid, etc. I've had Truck Norris 8 months, and put on just over 3000 miles. I still change my oil every 3 months. Can you do it too much?

My wife is going to drive Truck Norris today. I think I need to make her sign a waver!! At least when she drives, she gets 18+ mpg (compared to my 13.9) .

No such thing as too much when I comes to having fresh oil in it. (As long as its the right amount lol). A good filter is key as well for engine protection. I run k&n oil filters because it will keep the oil cleaner longer. They are constructed better then the cheaper brands.

Yes. The k&n is constructed much better then the fram and will hold up better to abuse. Also the k&n has a nut welded to it for easy removal.

Fram uses cardboard in its construction where as the K&N uses metal. There is many vids on youtube that prove this. I will post a link to one....

Thanks, bro! I never knew.... Funny; I spend more on quality oil and offset it w/subpar filter. I guess it goes to show if you don't know you don't know.

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

That's quite a revealing video, btw. I'm busy looking at more, now. Does RP make a filter?
